On October 27, the launch event for CORNEX next-generation 6C "Everest" fast-charging battery cell was held in Xiangyang. Safety is the fundamental principle of the "Everest" battery cell. CORNEX has established a multi-level, comprehensive safety protection system from materials to the system:


Double-Sided Ceramic Separator: Significantly enhances the heat resistance and thermal shrinkage resistance of the separator, effectively reducing the risk of short circuits caused by localized overheating and improving the intrinsic safety of the battery cell at the source.


Directional Instant-Venting Port: Through an innovative pressure release channel design, it enables directional and rapid energy release during thermal runaway, precisely controlling the internal pressure and temperature of the battery cell, and firmly upholding the safety baseline of "no fire, no explosion."


Extreme Endurance: Redefining the Limits of EV Driving Range

Driving range is a key metric for evaluating the practical value of EV batteries. The "Everest" battery cell utilizes multi-level particle grading for the cathode and double-layer coating technology for the anode, achieving a mass energy density of up to 190 Wh/kg and a volumetric energy density of up to 420 Wh/L. This provides a solid foundation for a system-level pure electric driving range of over 1000 kilometers.


Addressing the performance degradation of electric vehicles in cold environments, the "Everest" battery cell incorporates highly active low-temperature electrolytes, enabling an energy retention rate of over 85% even in low-temperature conditions of -20°C. Even at a low state of charge (SOC) of just 20%, the discharge rate can still reach 1C, ensuring ample power output in extreme cold and low-charge conditions.

On an 800V ultra-fast charging platform, integrated with CORNEX's CTP 3.0 system, the "Everest" battery cell can deliver a driving range of 600 kilometers with just a 10-minute charge, making its energy replenishment efficiency comparable to refueling a traditional fuel vehicle.
